Financial Accountant
This position is within the insurance industry.
Description:
- Financial operations supporting E&S segment and the MGU including premiums, commissions, reinsurance, expenses, cash in premium trust accounts, etc.
- Financial reporting for E&S and the MGU, including internal and external management reports, reporting to MGU carriers, reconciliations, analysis, etc.
- Accounting for cash movement received from brokers and distributed to insurance carriers.
- Validations of systems to Workday
- Workday allocation processing
- Program accounting
- Review and reconcile account general ledger account activity as assigned.
- Preparation of the legal entity's statutory statement and supplements (annual statement, risk based capital, quarterly statements)
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience
- Bachelors in Accounting
- Strong MS Excel knowledge
- Workday experience would be preferred
