Description:
Job will likely be 60% operation, 40% maintenance.
Ensure the proper and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative and reactive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, clamps, bearings, bushings, gear boxes, conveyors, and production machines. Daily usage of HMI's. Machine set-ups, operation, product changeovers, mechanical and technical adjustments to machines.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machines and fixing breakdowns. Using measuring and testing instruments to ensure that things are within specification. Determining changes needed and adjusting parts and parameters in machines. Using hand and power tools. Ability to perform scheduled maintenance to avoid reactive maintenance. Use lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
Technicians for these positions may or may not need to be fit for a respirator , because one department involves working with chemicals some and need to be protected from the fumes, but that is only as-needed. The respirator won't be worn every day, and likely never for an entire shift.
Candidates will be evaluated during 1,000-hour contract on skills, abilities, attitude, reliability, and learning. Then you have to take a written test at the end of the contract to prove you can stay at the pay rate you started at or even get a raise.
