Boarding & Applications Specialist

As a Boarding and Applications Specialist, you will coordinate a seamless and accelerated merchant application and approval process for our Payments customers. You will serve as a liaison between our merchants and our processing partner in order to capture processing account approvals. You will also work closely with our Launch and Implementation teams to ensure that merchant accounts are approved in advance of software launch dates.
The Boarding and Applications Specialist reports to the Team Lead, Boarding and Applications.
Your Responsibilities:
Coordinate with the Sales team to capture required pre-application data
Collect required application documentation from merchants
Perform initial underwriting checks in accordance with processor / vendor KYC guidelines
Accurately board new merchant accounts to ensure first entry approval
Liaise between the merchant and processors to secure application approval
Review merchant accounts, investigate and diagnose merchant account configuration issues
De-escalate situations involving dissatisfied merchants and offer patient assistance and support
Build strong relationships with internal teams to meet launch expectations
Maintain a thorough understanding of processor/vendor products, platforms, and systems
Serve as a Daxko payments-related products and services expert
Follow all organizational compliance policies and standard operating procedures
Consistently exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly key performance indicators.
Effectively collaborate with team members at all levels in the organization.
Three (3) years of Customer Service experience
Four (4) years of experience working with credit card processing, ACH processing, banks and / or fintech companies
Expertise in Daxko s payments related products and services
A proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners
Excellent communicator able to convey complex ideas succinctly
Exceptional customer service skills including patience and empathy
Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Strong computer and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, prioritize and take initiative
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail
Bachelor s Degree
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex financial projects
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage customer escalations

Familiarity with First Data Merchant Services
Expertise in relation to credit card processing applications, risk, reserves, and compliance
