Department Overview
This position is part of the Corporate Data Governance Office which was recently formed to implement the following vision and strategic objectives:
Enable data sharing and analytics across all business segments by ensuring all company s critical data is consumable in a standardized consistent approach while enforcing all applicable policies and procedures for data storage, retention, privacy, security, quality and integrity of all corporate data assets.
Provide better data for operations to improve resource utilization, SLA compliance, consumer experiences, customer journeys and process outcomes
Identify opportunities for monetizing data assets and provide competitive advantages in business development and capture efforts, in particular to support efforts in emerging markets (add reference to Future initiative, collaboration with pre sales teams, business solution architecture)
Promote a culture of Data and Analytics everywhere

Job Summary:
The position is responsible for defining and executing enterprise level processes, standards and tools to support Data Governance and MDM initiatives. The role will help lead the organization to become more data driven and utilizing data to develop meaningful analytics solutions. This includes establishing and handling a MDM governance function, supporting the implementation of a future state data governance architecture, and adopting new strategies around data quality, metadata and information governance. Additionally the position is expected to provide input on Data Literacy program development, support business development and capture efforts and contribute to inform company stakeholders with data Governance strategy and execution and be an ambassador for data governance at all levels of the organization.

General Job Duties:
Implement Master Data Management (MDM), Meta Data Management and Data Cataloguing programs working in close collaboration with all the data governance stewards, owners, stakeholders and consumers, including the data governance committee
Accountable to develop, establish and govern Data Management Solutions responsible to support Business Compliance initiatives Function
Develops a solid understanding of targeted business operations and assists in the analysis of related business processes.
Help define product vision and roadmap for our Data Management platforms.
Working collaboratively with Privacy and Information Security teams, monitor compliance to Data Security and Privacy standards and best practices
Design and implement a Data Usage Auditing service that will help monitor compliance and performance of key data governance metrics, including data quality
Drive Data Governance Office adoption and enterprise buy-in
Establish and lead teams comprised oof Data Managment Engineers to support the anticipated growth of the data office scope of work. Build a high performance team through effective hiring, coaching, and growth and development.
Partner with stakeholders across the organization to provide direction and translate strategic priorities/goal into defined tactical action plans and milestones. Work with cross functional leaders to understand and influence business strategy, set priorities, and define MDM objectives.
Develop and support strong cross functional partnerships with Security & Compliance, Development, QA, Product, Customer Success, and Corporate IT
Manage budget, timeline, resources and scope through prioritization throughout the course of all assigned projects
Oversee the quality, delivery, performance, cost and scope for data governance and MDM initiatives.
Coordinate integration of resources with other teams and processes.
Produce work breakdowns and estimates.
Contribute as needed to the larger organization (e.g., special assignments, covering for peers on leave, etc.).
Contribute high quality work as an individual contributor, in addition to management duties
Enforce structured approaches and methodologies that align with the key strategies of the organization.
Support staff training to grow skills in alignment with organizational objectives.

Education & Experience Requirements::
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience in a technology related field, e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Management Information Sciences.
10+ years of experience in IT, data management, data integration, data analytics/BI and/or data infrastructure
Minimum 10 years of management experience
5+ years experience working in the Data governance or related fields with a focus in Master Data Management, Meta Data Management and Data Catalog Implementations
Experience advocating Data Governance
Experience envisioning Data Quality and Measuring the same
Ability to act as Product Manager and Product owner
Strong Business engagement and management communication skills
In-Depth understanding of Modern Data Platforms
Solutioning skills in MDM initiatives both from an operational business process and technical perspective
Experience working with Enterprise Data and Analytics Platforms including Business Intelligence systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project management, and organizational skills
Experience working with IT development staff on complex projects
Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and cross functional peers to support deadlines
Expertise in commercially available approaches to software and technology for enterprise data management, and business intelligence
Strong relationship management skills and the ability to effectively communicate (including written, verbal, and visual) at all organizational levels: customer, team member, management, and executive.
Proven track record growing and leading technical teams, with 8+ years of management experience.
A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business, with understanding of: strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance.
Extensive experience planning and executing technical and business initiatives supporting a large organization.
Ability and willingness to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks.
Superior decision making and critical thinking ability.
Must be able to travel 10- 20%.

Data as a Service (DaaS) strategy and implementation experience a plus
