KEY OUTCOMES & ROLE EXPECTATIONS

This critical role will support the commercialization and delivery of Media related analytic solutions, with a particular focus on Multi-touch Attribution (Balanced Attribution) within the Return on Investment Marketing Effectiveness Practice.

Role success requires that the team member be an analytic leader with vision who: (a) ensures each solution presented to clients is aligned with our NA Kantar Analytic strategy and development plan, (b) adopts the unique demands of the North American market and leverages the vast resources we have across Kantar. As a vital team member on our Analytics Brand & Marketing ROI (BMROI) team, you are expected to:

  • Have a confident comprehension of our collective offer within BMROI and an understanding of the competitive context.

  • Be comfortable working with teammates across the portfolio, applying tight-knit collaboration skills.

  • Comprehend the selling points and appropriate applications of a variety of analytic solutions, both custom and standardized.

  • Be commercially and client oriented, with ability to support sales agents and content consultants, and work to support a focused and cohesive strategy for growth. The strategy is intended to tie together multiple considerations, including the following:

    • Drive revenue growth and profitability

    • Contribute to Kantar's thought leadership agenda

    • Broaden and publicize Kantar offerings

    • Identify product development opportunities from client feedback

    • Develop implementation program for innovations

This position reports to the Media Performance Analytics pod lead.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

To deliver best in class insights to clients from analytics work assigned to you. To ensure that we deliver on time and against agreed objectives/project scope. To drive clients to act based off recommendations, providing provable return on investment. To ensure we coordinate with analytics delivery resources to enhance operational efficiency and deliver greater profitability levels. To mentor and manage the other practice leads within the pod. To provide technical sales support to the commercial development teams. To collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams as needed (media domain client service, operations, product development, on- and off-shore data science teams) in order to deliver integrated and practical insights. To review and understand new and existing solutions and collaborate on piloting new launches, enhancing solution delivery and co-create marketing collateral and thought leadership materials

Detailed execution on the following responsibilities is critical for role success.

Team Leadership

  • Direct line managing to the other consultants and practice leads on the team.

  • Focus on the individual development of the team members. Bring an expertise of the media space, coaching the team on how to turn the insights into action.

  • Be a culture setter. We take great pride in how the team has come together and enjoys working with each other. This role will be a leader who continues to enhance.

  • Set clear team goals and build action plans to support achievement.

  • Be a positive change agent. It is important to find the balance between recognizing the great work the team is doing today and also having an eye on what we have to continue to improve upon to win in the future.  

Analytics Consulting

  • Drive client decisions by coaching them on what actions to take based on the data.

  • Focus on evolving client's relationship with Kantar from one based on insight/research to one that is decision driven to make the product stickier.

  • Have a keen understanding of the media landscape and how measurement solutions fit into the ecosystem.

  • Ability to adapt to many different client verticals and have strategic conversations at the CMO level.

Business Development

  • Closely work with the Analytics Commercial Development Leads, Client Management and Client Partners in support of lead identification and opportunity development.

  • Collaborate with the Account team leads to raise awareness and understanding of our solutions internally and externally.

  • Technical sales support of client pitches. Leading conversations on what data is needed, how the model works and what outputs the client could expect.

  • Solution scoping to ensure that we are answering key client questions and increasing revenue growth.

  • Providing scope and price quotes to sales team as part of the proposal team.

Solution Champion

  • Work with other essential team members to identify potential new product development and identify existing solutions requiring review/ improvement.

  • To discuss and assess any proposed new solutions / product improvements with relevant key partners to ensure maximum success.

Project Management

To identify the project delivery specifications, assess critical achievements and steps, develop the process flow and undertake risk analysis through:

  • Developing the project timelines to achieve business deadlines, identify tasks to be undertaken and allocate tasks to project group to ensure deadlines are met within the agreed timescale, follow up task achievement and initiate remedial action when necessary.

  • Managing or contributing to project meetings to assess feasibility of project, assign allocated resource and review task progress.

  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key collaborators.

Financial Management

  • Help to deliver on the agreed annual revenue/profit targets.

  • Look to ways of improving profitability through optimizing project/solution efficiencies, resourcing decisions (including outsourcing and team structure) as well pricing.

The salary range for this role in Chicago is $132,400 to $220,000. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
